PONDA: Ponda Police on Thursday arrested Rajasthan natives 26-year-old Krishnakumar Yadav and his accomplice 37-year-old Jaldipsing in connection with the alleged murder of 30-year-old Dinesh Kumar, a native of Rai Bareli Uttar Pradesh and for seriously injuring 24-year-old Vinod from UP at Dhavlim on Wednesday evening.
The duo has been booked under Section 302 for murder, Section 307 for attempt to murder and Section 201 for hiding the knife used in the attack.
Meanwhile, the condition of the truck driver is reported to be critical as he undergoing treatment at the Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim.
According to Ponda PI Mohan Gaude, all four have been working for same company and had parked the two trucks at Dhavlim.
According to available information, all four used to have lunch together daily. But on Wednesday, the trio together cooked food and had lunch together.
However, as cleaner Krishnakumar was taking rest, the trio failed to wake him up and had food together. When the accused woke up, it was around 5 pm and noticing that all three had their lunch and did not bother to wake him up to have lunch, he got furious and soon there was an altercation. In a fit of rage, the accused stabbed Dineshkumar, who died on spot and Vinod, who sustained injuries.
The accused later fled with the truck along with the driver. The police within two hours intercepted the accused cleaner and truck driver at Khandepar.
