CURCHOREM: The iron railing installed over the drainage near the Central Library building at Curchorem has become a nightmare for two-wheeler riders.
Many two-wheeler riders have fallen on the iron bars due to slippery railings and a school teacher from a local school had a fall on Thursday afternoon from a motorcycle and sustained minor injuries.
When contacted, Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes informed that he has already informed the PWD authorities at Quepem about the incidents and asked them to take precautionary measures at the earliest.
Speaking to Herald, PWD junior engineer Swapnil Dessai, who is also in-charge of Curchorem area, said he has already engaged a fabricator to give welding tags to make the surface rough on the railings and it will be completed within a day or two.
