Roy to handle city’s civic issues

PANJIM: IAS Ajit Roy, newly appointed Commissioner of the Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP), will be dealing with the civic issues faced by the Capital city right from having a full-fledged satellite municipal market under Smart City to providing 24x7 water supply to the residence.

PANJIM: IAS Ajit Roy, newly appointed Commissioner of the Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP), will be dealing with the civic issues faced by the Capital city right from having a full-fledged satellite municipal market under Smart City to providing 24×7 water supply to the residence. 
The IAS officer, who is an IITan, will be provided with a team of experts by the government, to study the civic issues haunting the city for years. 
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar during his election campaign had announced to appoint an IAS officer to conduct survey to study the issues faced by the Panjimities. 
The IAS officer is entrusted with the task of providing better infrastructure facilities to the people of Panjim that includes, satellite market, 24×7 water supply, better power facility, traffic management and public transport. 
“We will be providing a team of four officers to IAS officer for dealing with all the issues concerning the city,” Parrikar said.
