PERNEM: Pernem Police arrested 38-year-old Russian national identified as Oleg Malyshev for illegally possessing narcotic substance suspected to be ganja, at Mandrem.
According to Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi on a tip off information that Russian national procuring drugs for further supply, at Mandrem, a police team conducted a raid at around 6 pm on Monday and caught the alleged accused red handed while possessing narcotic substance suspected to be Ganja worth Rs 4,300.

Pernem Police have placed the accused under arrest under Section 20 (B)(ii)(A) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Police Sub Inspector Sanjit Kandolkar is conducting further investigation.
