Several Goans from all walks of life including the various activists
organised a protest at Old Goa, on sunday to condemn the Centre as well as the
State government over failure to protect Goa’s interests on Mhadei. They
lambasted the Central government for approving the DPR of Karnataka allowing
the diversion of Mhadei waters without consulting Goa. Further, they chided the
State government for failing to protect Goa’s interests and falling prey to the
political clout of Karnataka
