MARGAO: South Goa Member of Parliament Narendra Sawaikar has informed that he has moved a private member Bill in the Parliament for the welfare, protection and development of the fishermen in Goa.
Sawaikar said that this Bill may be processed and come up for discussion in the next LS session.
While explaining his idea of submitting the Private Member bill Sawaikar, “I have prayed for a constitution of a team which will think and act over the welfare of the fishermen community of Goa living by the coast during time like monsoons and others. The plan is to have the Goa as well as Central governments to jointly contribute for the welfare as well as development of their next generations in terms of education as well as skill development.”
Sawaikar also raised the issue of the bad connectivity of BSNL service in Goa and that he has got an assurance of laying lines for the towers and also increasing the capacity of the towers in some days.
