BICHOLIM: Shirgao sarpanch Sadanand Gaonkar has been voted out through motion of no confidence by 3-0 votes.

In the five-member panchayat, the motion was passed by a margin of 3-0 votes at a meeting held at the panchayat office on Thursday. The signatories to the motion are Atchut Gaonkar, Bhagwan Gaonkar and Kalpita Ghadi.
Outgoing sarpanch Sadanand Gaonkar and Deputy Sarpanch Vijaya Mandrekar did not attended the meeting.
Navanath Ambre of Bicholim BDO was the presiding officer. He was assisted by Secretary Monali Betkikar. The election for the post of sarpanch is likely to be held soon.
