Noted Konkani writer N Shivdas is the new president of Goa Konkani Academi (GKA).
He takes over from Sahitya Academy awardee Pundalik Narayan Naik whose term ended nearly a month ago.
An order appointing Shivdas to the post of Goa Konkani Academi president was issued today, sources said.
Besides being actively involved in Konkani literary activities for long, Shivdas is also an activist having participated in various agitations
particularly Bus Commuters forum of which he was a convenor.
