CALANGUTE: Calangute Police on Friday raided a boutique at Calangute and arrested a 31-year-old man from Naikka Vaddo, Calangute, on charges of illegally using a company’s logo on T-shirts worth Rs 6.6 lakh.
According to Calangute Police, Ajay Wagehla was arrested for using the logo on T-shirts and selling it at his boutique in Calangute. The T-shirts were also attached by the Calangute Police.
Police said the total value of the T-shirts is Rs 6.60 lakh (Rs 1,000 per T-shirt). The raid was conducted following a complaint by a field officer Ashish Patil from Mumbai.
Calangute Police arrested the accused under Copyright Act and is investigating the case.
