Shripad Naik urges new crime prevention strategy in Goa

Responding to questions on Goa’s law-and-order situation, North Goa MP Shripad Naik said the state government must adopt a stronger and updated strategy to curb rising criminal activity. He noted that incidents such as dacoity show a worrying increase in the confidence of those involved in crime. According to him, this growing boldness demands immediate preventive action rather than delayed response. Naik stressed that the police must introduce a new policy to ensure such incidents do not recur in Goa. He added that he has already discussed the matter with the Chief Minister and urged the government to focus on preventive measures. “Doing something in advance is always more important,” the MP said.
