Porvorim: The Porvorim police arrested Lalit Vaigankar, 20 from Sodiem, Siolim for stealing a motorbike worth Rs 1.5 lakh from Porvorim.

The stolen bike has also been recovered. Owner of the bike, Saurabh Dessai had filed a complaint stating that his bike which was parked in front of a shop near Defence Colony at Porvorim was stolen on Jan 19.
Meanwhile a bike parked in open parking area near Hotel Priti International, Gaunsawado, Mapusa was stolen by unidentified miscreants on Jan 20. The bike owner Viraj Bandodkar from Deulwado, Dhargal, Pernem has lodged a complaint to this effect, said Mapusa police.
