PANJIM: The State government has decided that the Skill Exhibition organised by the Directorate of Planning, Statistics and Evaluation to remain open from 10 am to 5 pm every day till Monday, July 15, i.e. the actual date of World Youth Skill Day.
World Youth Skill Day is celebrated annually on July 15. This year because of ensuing State Legislative Assembly Session, the government celebrated the same on July 11, at Kala Academy, Campal. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Skill Exhibition during the State-level programme.

Students from National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) under Samagra Shiksha Programme, who are trained in various trades such as health care, tourism and hospitality, retail, automobile, agriculture. media and entertainment, apparel, beauty and wellness, construction, telecom and IT are demonstrating their skill practically in the pavilion “Samagra Shiksha NSQF” in this exhibition.
Also artisans which were identified by Swayampurna Mitras in remotest areas in Pernem and Sanguem and beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, who has undergone advance re-skill and up-skill training at various ITIs in Goa, have set up their various stalls showing skills in their respective economic activities.
