Rivona, Goa: South Goa Member of Parliament Captain Viriato Fernandes inaugurated and handed over a new school bus to Utkarsh High School, Rivona, in the Sanguem constituency under the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) funded by the Government of India.
The new bus is expected to enhance transportation facilities for students, ensuring safer and more convenient travel to and from the school.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Captain Viriato Fernandes highlighted the importance of adequate infrastructure in delivering quality education. He said that reliable transportation plays a vital role in enabling students to attend school regularly and safely.
Expressing confidence in the initiative, the MP said the new school bus would significantly benefit the students of Utkarsh High School by easing their daily commute and improving access to education.
The school management, teaching staff, students, and local residents welcomed the addition of the new bus and expressed their gratitude to the South Goa MP for extending assistance through the MPLADS scheme.
The initiative is expected to strengthen educational infrastructure in the rural region of Rivona, Sanguem, and reflects continued efforts to improve facilities that support students and promote quality education.
