St Pedro-Divar ferry services suspended till June 15 for ramp repairs

The River Navigation Department (RND) Goa has announced the temporary suspension of ferry services on the St Pedro–Divar route to facilitate repair work on the ferry ramp.

According to an official communication issued from Betim, ferry operations on the route will remain suspended from March 31 to June 15. The decision follows a request from Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd for undertaking necessary infrastructure repairs at the St Pedro–Divar ferry point.

During the suspension period, four ferry boats will be redeployed to the Old Goa route to manage traffic and ensure continued connectivity for commuters.

The department has informed local bodies, including the village panchayats of Goltim-Navelim and Sao Matias, about the temporary disruption. Commuters have been urged to cooperate during the repair period.

Authorities have expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and stated that the repairs are essential to ensure the safety and smooth functioning of ferry services in the long term.
