PANJIM: The Goa government on Sunday extended the COVID-19-induced curfew till upto 7am till July 19 with further relaxation.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant mentioned in a tweet on Sunday evening.
“The State Level Curfew Order will be extended upto 7am, 19 July 2021, with further relaxations that will allow opening of gym with 50% capacity, sports complex without spectators, religious places with upto 15 persons,” he posted.
As per the new order shops will be permitted to open from 7 am to 7 pm. In addition gyms will be allowed to operate with 50 per cent capacity while outdoor as well as indoor sports complexes are also allowed to open up without spectators.
Religious places have also been permitted to open with upto 15 persons and all of these are in addition to other relaxations as per previous order.
The restrictions on movement and businesses, termed by the government as curfew, were first imposed on May 9 and extended from time to time. With positivity rate dropping at an improving rate, the State government has allowed relaxation to certain commercial establishments.
Currently shops selling grocery and other essentials are allowed to remain open from 9 am to 6 pm and hotels and restaurants are allowed to function with 50 per cent capacity. Casinos are not allowed under the latest curfew order again.
