PANJIM: Ahead of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations which begin on September 10, the Goa Government has extended the statewide curfew till September 13.
In a notification issued by the District Administration, the curfew has been extended till 7am of September 13.
The curfew was first imposed on May 9 this year and since then it has been extended regularly.
The State Government has granted various relaxations in phased manner including permitting fully vaccinated people to enter the State without COVID negative certificate.
However, casinos, pubs, river cruises continue to remain close.
The government is expected to issue Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for conduct of Ganesh chaturthi festival, which will be celebrated on September 10-11.
