Over the last 10 years my husband and I have enjoyed our annual visits to Goa, as we enjoy the beauty of India and its people. For many years, we have looked beyond the appalling problem, often blamed on tourists. But walking along one of the tributaries of River Sal, we were horrified to see mounds of glass, light bulbs etc dumped on the river bank.
The photo speaks for itself. This is not only ugly, but dangerous for man and beast!
This is not the work of tourists but locals. Please stop ruining your country.
In contrast what a pleasant sight it is to see refuse bins being provided and waste collection done along Benaulim beach. Well done Goa please keep up the good work!
