PORVORIM: Health Minister Laxmikant Parsekar recently inaugurated a Sub Health Centre at Betim.
Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte, ZP member Gupesh Naik and Health Officer of Aldona Primary Health Centre Dr Dipak Dhawjekar were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Parsekar urged the people to undertake diabetic, cardiac and cancer screening periodically.
“The Health Department will undertake this activity in every school shortly,” said Parsekar.
Khaunte said the sub health centre was the need of the hour at Betim. “While conducting health camps, I had observed that there was need of sub health centre at Betim and it is for this reason, I requested the Directorate of Health Services to provide the services to the residents of Betim,” he added.
“I had also requested the Health Department to open similar health centre at Socorro,” said Khaunte.
Aldona Primary Health Centre Health Officer Deepak Dhavjekar welcomed the gathering.
