Tension prevailed at Mirabag on Sunday after local residents gathered at the site of the ongoing bandhara project and brought the work to a halt.
Villagers expressed strong opposition to the project, assembling in large numbers and demanding that the construction be stopped. Following the protest, Curchorem Police were deployed at the spot to control the situation and ensure that law and order was maintained.
