Tension prevailed at Velsao, as Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL) dumped construction material on private property next to the railway crossing on the Velsao beach road. Locals have stated that there are court orders that prohibit the blocking of traditional access and right of way to the houses situated alongside the railway tracks. Several locals gathered at the site to object to RVNL officials trespassing into private properties. Police were also deployed on site.
