Textbooks in short supply in Margao

Some of the school text books are yet to hit the book stalls in the Commercial Capital, even though it would be nearly a month since the new academic year started last month.
Book stall owners informed that some of the text books are still in short supply. A book seller Shirish Keni told Herald that science, maths, Portuguese and French text books of Std X are in short supply this academic year.
Similarly, Economics and history text books of std XI are facing a shortage till date.
Keni informed that the printers were scheduled to dispatch the consignment this week, but the books are yet to come till date. Hopefully, the text books are expected to come in early next book.
Incidentally, Keni said the availability of text books have been better as compared to the last academic year, while attributing the delay to late printing of the text books.
