He also said that people have a right to make demands in a democracy, when his attention was drawn to the demand by the Raia power consumers for a package a la package for the mining affected people.
Replying to a question, h e said the Power department should make every attempt to issue the bills bi-monthly to facilitate easy payment. ‘Issuing the bills on monthly basis would be an ideal situation, but bi-monthly bills is acceptable”, he added.
Kamat said that since the bill preparation have been outsourced to agencies, there may be errors in the entire process.
