Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed has once again attempted to project strength through propaganda, releasing an audio message allegedly in the voice of its chief, Maulana Masood Azhar. The clip, which surfaced on social media, claims the outfit has “thousands” of suicide bombers ready to carry out attacks. However, the date and authenticity of the audio could not be independently verified.
In the message, Azhar makes sweeping claims about the size of his cadre, insisting their numbers go beyond hundreds or even thousands. He adds that these recruits seek no material benefits and desire only “shahadat” (martyrdom).

Security analysts view the audio as more of a desperate rant than a credible threat. Its timing is notable, coming months after Indian forces struck Jaish targets inside Pakistan, including its Bahawalpur headquarters, where several of Azhar’s close relatives were killed under Operation Sindoor following the Pahalgam terror attack.
