PANJIM: Due to severe traffic congestion at Divja Circle, the traffic department has proposed a vehicular diversion on trial basis to stop vehicles exiting Panjim from the Old Patto Bridge towards Divja Circle.
As per the plan released by North Goa Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police Dharmesh Angle, vehicles bound for Ponda, Ribandar, Old Goa, Chimbel, Margao and South Goa will be stopped at this point. The department has advised that traffic plying from Old Patto Bridge going towards Ponda and Ribandar should take the road towards Tourism Department via EDC Plaza to approach KTC circle for their further journey.
Likewise, traffic from KTC circle going towards Mapusa via Old Mandovi Bridge will now have to take the new Mandovi Bridge for their further journey.
