PANJIM: Cumbarjua MLA Pandurang Madkaikar, who is already facing corruption charges before the anti corruption branch in the alleged land scam at Old Goa, has now been booked for allegedly physically hurting and threatening a hotel employee. A non cognizable case was registered by the Panjim police station on a complaint filed by Peter Fernandes, a Campal hotel employee.
According to the complainant, Madkaikar allegedly pulled him by his hand to show the drainage flowing from the backyard of hotel towards his bungalow, situated next to the hotel. This resulted in minor injury to the complainant’s hand, which was confirmed in a medical report. The Panjim police then booked NC case under sections 323 for simple injuries and 506 of threatening of the India Penal Code.
