MARGAO: In coordination with Western Railway, Konkan Railway has run parcel special trains between Okha and Thiruvananthapuram Central. This parcel train arrived on Tuesday at Madgaon Station and 65 packets of medicines/medical equipment loaded at Rajkot and Surendranagar were unloaded.

Also nine packets of ayurvedic medicines were loaded to Cannanore and Ernakulam. The Railways is running continuously on its wheels with a sole purpose of serving the nation by transporting essential commodities across the country.
In order to mitigate the effects of the lockdown, Konkan Railway is working its level best to ensure smooth supply of essential commodities such as food grains, medicines, medical equipments, perishables etc through goods and parcel trains.
“Konkan Railway understands it’s crucial role during this difficult time and ensures faster movement of critical essential items,” said KRC.
