A truck toppled into a gorge on the Belgaum-Goa National Highway after rear-ending a Maruti van, officials reported. The incident occurred at Anmod Ghat, a known accident-prone stretch of the highway.
The truck driver, Anand Rathod, a resident of Hospet, sustained injuries and has been hospitalized for treatment. Fortunately, all passengers in the Maruti van escaped without any injuries.
