PANJIM: A 22-year-old Mathematics tutor has been arrested on charges of raping an underage student.
The sleuths of women police station booked the youth taking cognisance of a complaint filed by the 13-year-old’s mother.
Sources informed that the investigating team has attached obscene pictures and lewd messages sent on the victim’s phone.
As per the First Information Report (FIR), the victim and the accused lived in the apartments in the same premise. “The aunt of the accused gives coaching to school students. Since he is a graduate in BCA, he would teach Mathematics…” revealed the police source. The accused was immediately arrested and police will produce him before the court on Friday for remand. The team is also investigating if there are more victims.
