VALPOI, APRIL 22
A 45-year-old man from Vantem-Valpoi committed suicide by setting himself ablaze behind his residence on Wednesday.
According to reports, one Savlo Tukaram Gawde set himself ablaze by pouring kerosene on his body. He was rushed to PHC Sanquelim and was later referred to GMC Hospital in Bambolim, where he succumbed at 11.30 pm. Meanwhile, one V S Subharao (49) of Andhra Pradesh, but a resident of Honda, died of massive heart attack on Thursday morning. According to Valpoi police, Subharao, who complained of chest pain, was shifted to PHC Sanquelim from where he was referred to GMC Hospital. However, he died on the way to GMC. Both the cases are being investigated by PSI CL Naik under the supervision of PI Vainganker.
