The South Western Railway (SWR) has decided to run weekly special trains between Vasco-da-Gama and Nagapattinam for the purpose of clearance of extra rush during ensuing festival and winter season.
According to a press release from SWR, five trips in each directions of Train Nos 0675/0676 will commence from November 1 to November 29.
Accordingly, Train No 0675 will leave Vasco-da-Gama at 7.10 pm on Monday. En route, the Weekly Express Special will arrive/depart Madgaon at 7.45/7.55 pm and proceed via Canacona, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal, Kunddapura, Udupi, Suratkal, Thokkur and arrive at Mangalore junction at 2.15 am.
From there, it would go via Kasargod, Payyannur, Kannur, Thalassery, Vadakara, Kozhikkode, Tirur, Shoranur, Palakkad, Podannur, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Karur, Tiruchchirappalli, Tanjavur, Tiruvarur and reach Nagapattinam on Tuesday at 7.15 pm.
In return direction, Train No 0676 Nagapatinam-Vasco-da-Gama express will depart from Nagapattinam at 10.30 pm on Tuesday, November 2, and arrive at Vasco-da-Gama at 10 pm on November 3.
The Weekly Express Special has total 18 coaches, consisting of one AC 2-tier coach, one AC 3-tier coach, nine second class sleepers and one general second class-cum-disabled coach.
