MARGAO: With a plan to have a systematic draft Outline Development Plan (ODP), the TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai has asked the South Goa Planning and Development Authority (SGPDA) to finalise the agency for survey to create the land use plans of Margao, Fatorda and Ponda.
Vijai has asked the Member Secretary of SGPDA to allot the work of the survey for land use maps to an agency and to get the survey completed before January 26. “When we sent the ODP back to the PDA, we had spoken of following all the procedures and preparing land use plans first,” Vijai said.
“We in Margao have to formulate a very modern and sophisticated, progressive and faultless ODP for the PDA areas,” Vijai said adding that there was a need for a draft ODP where even details of sewerage lines and power lines are required to be included.
The TCP minister has asked the PDA to have internet kiosks at PDA and the MMC where the stakeholders would be able to view soft copies and give their objections and suggestions. The minister has said that the same has been set a deadline of January 26.
