PANJIM: The State government has decided to make available 61 forms of Transport Department on the website www.goatransport.gov.in so that citizens can freely download them.
Transport Director Nikhil Desai issued the circular to all Assistant Directors of Transport directing them to inform the public at large about the facility so that they can easily access the forms on the website for use in various sub offices.
Desai said the decision has been taken to improve the ease of doing business across RTO offices, to facilitate citizen friendly services and to reduce queues at the RTO for purchase of forms. Citizens may download the forms free of cost and later submit it to the offices without payment of any fees.
Desai said the forms will be available in various sub offices on payment basis till June 30, 2018 in order to enable citizens who have no access to the internet to purchase the forms.
The department has also asked all ADTs to make an inventory of various unsold forms in 15 days and submit the report.
The circular has been issued with the concurrence of Finance Department, Desai said.
