According to sources, tensions escalated during an argument related to the management and ownership of the temple, resulting in physical assault between members of the opposing groups.

Out of the five injured, three individuals sustained serious injuries and were shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital for treatment, while the others received medical attention locally.
