Vishwajit warns action against Asilo hospital staff

The Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today announced in the House that action would taken against not only against the doctor of Asilo hospital but also medical superintendent if found guilty of negligent of duty.
He was reacting to the issue of death of one Pradyna Morajkar from Siolim who was admitted in the Asilo Hospital for delivery.
She reportedly died of heavy bleeding after giving birth to twins.
Siolim MLA Dayanand Mandrekar had raised the issue during Zero Hour alleging negligence on part of the doctor who reportedly came late even as she was summoned immediately after patient’s condition worsened.
The Health Minister said, he has taken cognisance of the incidence and had sought details from the hospital. Nobody would be spared however we are awaiting post-mortem report.
The action would also taken against medical superintendent who has to ensure that doctors remain present during duty hours if found guilty, he warned.
