PANJIM: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vishwajit Krishnarao Rane was interrogated by Goa Police on Friday evening in connection with the alleged murder of Saleli resident Shanu Gaonkar who went missing in 2006.
Rane was summoned by Police to the Bicholim office of the Sub Division Police Officers and questioned for almost two hours by Valpoi Police Inspector Dipak Pednekar and Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Gaonkar. Rane arrived at the office of Bicholim SDPO at 5 pm and was there till around 7 pm.
Speaking to Herald, Rane said he is ready to cooperate with the police and he will be availbe for questioning whenever required.
