Will Boldly Present People’s Voice in Assembly, Says MLA Vijai Sardesai

Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai on Monday affirmed his commitment to raising the voice of the people of Goa in the ongoing Monsoon Assembly Session, stressing the need for the government and the Speaker to allow open and fair discussion on public issues.

“The government has presented its side, but when it comes to presenting the side of the people, the material naturally becomes more. Still, I will present it — loudly and clearly — in the interest of Goemkars,” Sardesai said.

He noted that several pressing issues had come to his attention through his ‘Janata Darbar’ public interaction programme, and that he has already submitted these questions for discussion in the House.

“These are not just political issues — they are people’s concerns. The government and the Speaker must ensure that we are given the opportunity to speak and raise them,” Sardesai stated, reiterating the Opposition’s role in ensuring transparency and accountability.

His remarks come as several MLAs prepare to highlight constituency-level grievances and statewide policy matters during the session.
