Woman succumbs to burn injuries

A 24-year-old woman from Khorlim-Mapusa, who had sustained burn injuries a couple of days ago, died in GMC Hospital at Bambolim on Tuesday.
According to Mapusa Police, Manisha Lamani had poured kerosene on her body and set herself on fire in the presence of her family members. She was shifted to GMC Hospital for treatment. She had sustained 90% burn injuries. She succumbed to injuries on Tuesday.
Police further informed that the woman was reportedly mentally unstable. Assistant Police Inspector Vithu Naik is investigating the case.
