PANJIM: Various programme will mark ‘World No Tobacco Day’ on May 31. Taluka-level anti- tobacco IEC campaign will be conducted and other awareness activities too to protect the citizens from harmful effect of tobacco.
The main objective of the programmes is to discourage tobacco use and protect the youth and masses from the harmful effect of tobacco.
Similarly, every government health facility will conduct awareness activities on May 31 and the Police department will book COTPA violators.
Public rallies, poster exhibition, wall painting, street play, health talks to public, video screening, etc will also mark the day.
A special rally will be organized at the South Goa District Headquarters on May 30, at 9.30 am.
