After the earlier neglect of the Davorlim panchayat ground, residents say the Zoriwado Sports Complex has now slipped into a similar state of disrepair. The facility, inaugurated on 23 July 2023 by the Chief Minister when Ulhas Tuenkar was the MLA and the land donated by the Davorlim Communidade, is reportedly suffering from severe lack of maintenance.
Inside the premises, the main entrance door stands broken, safety lockers lie damaged, and beer bottles and cigarette butts are scattered across the area. Locals say the condition of the complex reflects complete administrative apathy and has become a growing concern for the community.

Panch member Francisco Dias said they had already approached their MLA about deploying security personnel at the site. He alleged that the complex has turned into a hotspot for illegal activities, with people frequenting the premises at night to drink and smoke. Dias has demanded immediate intervention from authorities to restore the facility and ensure its protection.
