A singer of international repute, who hails from Quepem has given over 40 international performances over the years. His last International outing was a whirlwind tour of the African nations of Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda as the cultural ambassador of India along with his band and Goa’s Internationally renowned cultural troupe ‘KEPEMCHIM KIRNNAM’ where he gave concerts of his original pop, rock, jazz music also incorporating in his set up Goan folk music and dance.
Born on 29th May, on the wedding anniversary of his parents, Goes belongs to a family of singers and musicians and is the youngest among five brothers, Elvis Goes was a born singer with a strong natural vibrato at a tender age of 5. His singing skills were further strengthened by his father late Pedro Goes and mother Escolante Rodrigues who would teach him Konkani songs. He sang the same with much gusto at the local dramas held at the Quepem municipal garden winning accolades. At the age of 10, he had started composing his own songs in Konkani which he used to sing in his school.
Since then, there was no stopping for Elvis.
