Both the teams started on a positive note. In the 2nd minute FC Telaulim through Bitu Singh took a close range shot against the Firguelem Boys goal but the strikers shot went over the bar of the rival goal.
Soon in the 4th minute Morley Vaz of Firguelem Boys rolled a ball to Melvin who shot wide.
Royston Coutinho scored the only goal of the match and the winner for FC Telaulim in the 5th minute, to take his team into quarters.
