RUMBA-CURTORIM: Agxem Sports Club got the better of Pidadigal 8-7 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the Rumba United Curtorim inter-ward football tournament organised by Rumba United, at St Alex church ground, Curtorim, on Monday.
Both the teams gave their best but couldn’t convert chances during full time. Agnel and Josley missed chances for Agxem in the seventh and 10th minutes respectively.
Shelton and Rosario missed chances for Pidadigal in the 12th and 14th minutes respectively.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Agnelo, Nickson, Josley, Manuel, Allen, Alvito, Desley and Mario scored for Agxem while Ferdie, Aliston, Neville, Cajie, Ruzario, Shelton and Shamson score for Pidadigal.
Agxem will now meet the winner of Camarxete and Corjem in the quarter-finals on August 28.
