RAIA: A thunderous strike by Albino secured Parish Youth Nuvem a 1–0 victory over Sporting Club Davorlim, earning them a place in the quarterfinals of the Benaulim Villagers Cup, at the St John de Baptist panchayat ground.
Nuvem took early control of the match, bossing possession through midfield dynamos Jonas Colaco and Alvito Dias. Their dominance was rewarded in the 22nd minute, when Albino fired a blistering shot into the top left corner, leaving the Davorlim goalkeeper rooted to the spot.
In the second half, Nuvem pushed for a second goal to put the contest beyond reach. However, Davorlim rallied, with Ajay Raj coming close in the 42nd minute—only to be denied by a brilliant reflex save from Nuvem goalkeeper Selfon Dias.
Despite Davorlim’s late surge, Nuvem’s backline stood firm, displaying great composure and discipline to protect their lead and seal a hard-earned win in a fiercely contested tie.
