MARGAO: A splendid brace by striker Primson Fernandes helped Ambelim Sports Club to thump Chandor Club 6-1 and cruise into the quarter-finals of All-Goa Our Lady of Merces inter-village football at church ground, Chinchinim, Monday. Ambelim led 3-0 at half time.
Ambelim opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Primson Fernandes.
Primson Dias doubled the lead. In the 23rd minute Ambelim inflated their tally through Samson Fernandes.
Joswan Dias reduced the deficit soon after resumption off pass from Jeston Dias. Richard Dias, Ashely Feranndes and Maxwin Fernandes pumped in a goal each for Ambelim.
