PANJIM: CAC Cansaulim steamrolled Baina Sports Club 14-0 in the opening match of the GFA U-14 Football League Mormugao Zone match played at the Panchayat ground, Chicalim on Friday.
CAC Cansaulim led 5-0 at half time.
Royan Gama (3), Lester Maura, Ashish Magnenavar, Prasad Lokmale, Shailesh Kamble, Rio Rodrigues (2), Preston Colaco (2), Joel d Silva (3) and Peterson Almeida scored for Cansaulim.
In another match at Ambelim ground, St Sebastian Union Club, Benaulim scored a resounding 5-1 win over Pax of Nagoa.
Pax of Nagoa took the lead through Andiran Fernandes in the 17th minute but St Sebastian equalised in the 19th minute through Sachin Naik.
In the second half, St Sebastian dominated the match and then scored two goals in the span of two minutes in the 36th and 37th minutes through Niclao Fernandes and Styrus Fernandes respectively. Styrus Fernandes added another in the 43rd minute to complete his brace before Trevelon Fernandes netted the fifth for the winners.
At Agassaim ground, FC Aditya won a seven goal thriller against Compassion Football Club 4-3.
Shreyash Palkar scored a brace for the winners while Yuvraj Vaddavet and Nimish Gaude scored a goal each. For Compassion, Abishek Reddy, Devraj Jadhav and Devanand Tate netted a goal each.
At Assonora ground, St Christopher Sports Club recorded a 3-2 win over FC Tuem.
Samyah Salhas scored a double for St Christopher with Sohan Palhai adding the third. For FC Tuem, Ashish Khalo scored a goal while a Vailan Pereira gifted them the second through an own-goal.
At Rosary ground, Navelim, Ave Maria AWC eased past Navelim Villagers Union 5-3.
Sydroy Gama and Jayden Rodrigues scored a brace each for Ave Maria while Rishikesh Heravi netted the fifth. For Navelim Villagers Union, Sahil Sheik, Tohiq Yattanli and Rowan Fernandes scored a goal apiece.
