RAIA: Colva Veterans edged out Carmona Veterans 3-2 in a thrilling encounter to book a semi-final berth in the Benaulim Constituency Veterans Soccer Tournament at SAG Ground, Benaulim, on Thursday.
Colva found the net through Johnson Coelho, Jose, and Anthony Fernandes, while Quintus D’Cruz and Neil D’Cruz pulled two back for Carmona.
In another quarter-final clash, USC Seraulim recorded a convincing 3-1 win over Benaulim Veterans. Jess Cardozo scored a brace and Kevin D’Souza added a third. Luis Menino netted the consolation goal for Benaulim.
Jose of Colva and Jess Cardozo of Seraulim were named man-of-the-match for their respective performances.
