RAIA: Cumborda SC pipped Novovaddo SC 1-0 to move into the next round of Silver Jubilee Cup 9-a-side inter-ward football tournament organised by Sporting Club of Virabhat at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Friday.
Cumborda SC scored first goal through Rio Fernades in the 10 minute after receiving a pass from Valzino Fernandes to make it, 1-0. Novovaddo SC were unlucky when Milagres Fernades shot hit the goalpost and went out of play.
In second half, Novovaddo SC tried their best to equalise but again were unlucky when Myson Fernandes shot hit the crossbar.
