MARGAO: CurchoremYouth Club defeated Union Sports Club of Marcel by four wickets to register their first win in the Goa Cricket Association’s A Division league cricket match, at BITS Pilani ground, Sancoale, on Saturday.
Batting first, Union SC were bundled out for 148 in 38 overs with Paresh Gaonkar top scoring with 30 runs. He was well supported by Abhay Shirodkar, who cupped in 25 runs.
For Curchorem YC, Sudesh Rane was the most successful bowler, scalping three wickets.
In reply, Curchorem YC achieved the target in 39 overs with four wickets in hand. Sudesh Rane who excelled with the bowl cracked 45 runs. Mahesh Kudchadkar added 29 runs. Sunil Verenkar captured three wickets for Union SC.
