RAIA: Curtorim Gymkhana stormed into the quarterfinals after a dominant 4-0 win over CAC Cansaulim in the 2nd Vaidya Family Cup 2026, organised by Cuncolim Union at the government school playground, Cuncolim, on Wednesday.
Vesley Paes opened the scoring in the 38th minute off a cross from Anselm Fernandes. Anselm doubled the lead three minutes later, converting a pass from Elton Mascarenhas in the 41st minute. Freddy Hilario made it 3-0 in the 45th minute before Paes completed the rout in the 55th minute with a long cross from Anthony Fernandes.
CAC Cansaulim missed chances through Francisco Monteiro and Rishley Soares. The man-of-the-match award was presented to Curtorim Gymkhana’s Anselm Fernandes by former Cuncolim Union and national player Frenkey Pereira.
Cuncolim Union will face Sporting Club of Davorlim at the Government School playground, Cuncolim, today at 4.30 pm.
