PANJIM: Delton Colaco of Bethany Convent High School, Sao Jose de Areal has been selected to attend training at the U-Dream football in Germany.
He will be trained in Germany by TSG Hoffenheim for a period of six years. Delton played for Bethany Convent High School for the Subroto Cup in Delhi in 2014. He also played for Salgaocar FC at junior level.
Bethany Convent HS along with the PTA felicitated Delton through Armando Colaco, ex-International footballer and former India coach at the function held at the school premises, on Saturday.
Armando Colaco in his speech congratulated Delton and appealed to the other students to take inspiration from the young footballer.
Sr Dr Trisilla BS along with the PTA members were present on the occasion.
Delton is one of the three students from Goa who has been selected to attend the six-year training in Germany.
He will leave Mumbai for Germany on August 20.
